Kristen Marie Lyons grew up on Chicago’s SouthEast Side and is the youngest of three children. Her father Casimer was a Chicago police officer and her mother Judy was an avid volunteer for the organizations the family was associated with.
Attending Sacred Heart Grammar School in the Vet’s Park neighborhood, Kristen then graduated top ten in her class from Seton Academy High School in South Holland.
College Kristen attended St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota, Kristen graduated in only 3 1/2 years of study with a degree in History while playing basketball, rugby and leader of the school radio station.
Attending the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Kristen Marie Lyons worked as a clerk for a southside law firm, nanny, waitress and did an internship with the City of Chicago. She graduated in 2004 with her J.D. and was admitted to the Illinois State Bar that same year.
Kristen has been the member of various bar associations and the Immediate Past President of the Advocates Society (2018-2019)
Kristen and her husband John have been members of the Forest Park community and bought their forever home in 2016. Kristen lives with her husband, two step-children and their dog. Kristen is a supporter of the 7th Judicial Subcircuit and is active in many events and causes in the area including the Forest Park Historical Society, Kiwanis Club, Forest Park South PTO, 209 Together Scholarship, Community Center events and many more.
